1. LOCATION
Our home studio is located in Boxford, MA. However, I also shoot on location. In fact, I almost always shoot on location. I am constantly seeking out earthy backgrounds, urban settings and everything in between for future photo shoots. If you have a place in mind, I would love to hear about it. During your consultation, we will discuss your session location to make sure it is the perfect fit for your personal style whether you love the city, country or, perhaps, a beach.
2. SHOW YOUR STYLE
First and foremost, these photographs are all about you! That means they should convey your personality and style preferences. If you are earthy and casual, stick with that! If you prefer glitz and glam, play it up! It is important to be yourself during your session, so wear something that reflects you. If you wear something you would typically never put on, you will probably feel uncomfortable.
3. PERFECTLY PICKED PROPS
Props can really make a session pop. Incorporating elements you bring helps personalize the photographs. We can discuss this at your consultation and in the days leading up to your session.
I LOVE helping you style the perfect portrait and scheduling an in-person consultation is the best way to accomplish this. We will work very closely with you on location, outfit choices, props, and any other special ideas you may have. We are only limited by our imaginations!
Before your session, we will be watching the weather very closely. As you know, it can change in an instant, so sometimes we will wait to call it until an hour or so before the session time. Plan on doing your shoot even if the forecast looks questionable a few days before.
Depending on the package you choose, we will shoot for up to two/four hours on location. This includes the time it takes to set up equipment, change outfits and move from one spot to another. We will take a lot of photographs over the course of those hours, some which will become forever favorites proudly displayed in your home.
After your session, I will go through all the photographs taken that day and choose the best ones to edit and perfect. The turnaround time typically takes two weeks, but during the holidays and spring time it can take up to three weeks. After the photos are edited, we will schedule a reveal session at the studio to view your photos and help you place any orders. Of course, I will post a few sneak peaks on our social media pages to tide you over. I know that waiting can be the hardest part!
